Rehearsal for an Exhibition
February 1 to March 7, 2025
Rehearsal for an Exhibition, a collaborative showcase developed by Mirta Gómez del Valle, will run from February 1 to March 7, 2025, at Sailboat Bend Lofts in Ft. Lauderdale. Featuring 23 diverse artists, the exhibition bridges counties, genres, and generations, highlighting South Florida’s rich cultural fabric.
Co-curated by Gómez del Valle, Melisa Caprio, and collaboARTive founders Jean and Ignacio Font, the event challenges traditional artistic boundaries and fosters collaboration. Through innovative partnerships and alternative venues, Rehearsal for an Exhibition highlights collaboARTive's mission to empower artists to forge their own paths. By encouraging artists to collaborate outside the traditional gallery system, the exhibition redefines how art is shared with the community, ensuring greater accessibility and fostering fresh, dynamic approaches to showcasing creative work. Expect paintings, sculptures, photography, digital art, performance pieces, and installations, alongside interactive workshops and panel discussions.
